Forrest Knight

I'm the son of two Navy parents, which meant a childhood built around discipline and a fair amount of moving. I grew up in the Midwest and ran track through school.

My career started in software engineering at a retail brokerage. I earned my Series 7 there, and that was my introduction to the financial markets — the first place I started dabbling in trading and, eventually, automated trading. I spent roughly a decade in software, moving from engineering into sales, working on distributed systems for clients around the world. That path took me to Silicon Valley, where I worked my way up to Principal before the company was acquired for just under a billion dollars.

I kept one foot in software after the exit, but two other things started pulling harder: my YouTube channel and my trading. Around that time I invested in The Move Miami, where I'm co-owner, first investor, and operator.

Today I spend my time trading, teaching other traders, investing in the business, and building the systems that let it run well.
